HP adds two new Chromebook models to its portfolio


HP Chromebook 14HP has announced two new Chromebook models, which will be released in the US market next month i.e. October. Carrying the simple HP Chromebook branding, the devices will be known with the screen-sizes – 11-inch and 14-inch.
Talking about the 11-inch HP Chromebook first, it is powered 4th-gen Intel Celeron N2830 processor and features 16GB SSD, 2/ 4GB of RAM, HD webcam and a 1366x768p display. The device also includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, one USB 2.0 port, one USB 3.0 port, HDMI out and audio jack.
According to HP, it will go on sale starting October 5 and will carry a price-tag beginning $279.99.
Coming to the 14-inch Chromebook model, the device is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 processor and will pack 16/ 32GB SSD, 2/ 4GB of RAM, HD webcam, and 1366x768p display. There are two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, HDMI out and the usual connectivity options. HP will also be providing optional 4G LTE support in the Chromebook.
On the pricing front, the 14-inch HP Chromebook will retail for starting $299.99 and will go on sale beginning October 22.
Both Chromebook models will also come with 100GB of Google Drive storage valid for two-years and a number of colour options. There is no word on the international release at this point.
