Dell Venue 10 7000 specs revealed by leaked benchmark

Dell has recently unveiled the Venue 8 7000, the world’s thinnest tablet, and a good-looking one at that. It looks like the 8.4-inch tablet will not be the only Android device that the company plans to release in the near future. According to recent information, the US-based manufacturer is also working on a 10-inch 2-in-1 called the Dell Venue 10 7000.
The Dell Venue 10 was briefly shown off at a recent Intel Developer Forum that took place in San Francisco, and we’ve also captured the tab in a Dell press photo, so the existence of this 10-inch tablet is basically validated. From what we can tell, the Dell Venue 10 is a thin slab with a cylindrical battery on one side. Although we don’t know for sure that the rounded part houses a battery, this is what Lenovo did with the similar-looking Yoga tablet series, and it makes sense for Dell to copy the idea.
According to our information, the Dell Venue 10 will be a 2-in-1 tablet, meaning that a keyboard dock may be used to transform the device into an Android-powered notebook. This is the element that separates the Venue 10 from the Yoga line-up, as Lenovo’s products come with built-in kickstands.
Shortly after the Dell Venue 10 made its rounds in the online tech blogosphere for the first time, the 2-in-1 Android device was spotted over at the GFXBench website. Interestingly, the tablet is listed as having a 6-inch display, although we’re assuming this is some kind of weird error. The benchmark listing reveals that the Dell Venue 10 7040 display runs a resolution of 2560 by 1600 pixels. If this is info is accurate, the display will have a PPI density of 300. The benchmark doesn’t mention the display technology, but we’re hoping for the Venue 10 to arrive with a OLED display, like the Venue 8 7000.
