Asus Teases ZenWatch Ahead Of IFA 2014

After replenishing the gold mine resources of smartphones and tablets, manufacturers now seem to be strongly focused towards smartwatches. The buzz began as early as 2012 but we are getting to see some actual models only now. Motorola has Moto 360, Samsung and LG has one and Apple rumored to be debuting a smart watch in the month of September. Why not Asus, then? Maybe, the company felt the same and has decided to tease us with the ZenWatch head of the IFA 2014 event.

The teaser trailer definitely looks promising because the watch looks stylish, sleek and if we are not wrong, it is slightly curved on the top. Moto 360 was the first circular watch that grabbed the attention of the crowd and now Asus has joined the race. Their upcoming ZenWatch is clearly inspired by the ZenFone series. The curved screen is going to be all the buzz - when it gets an official reveal during the pre IFA event to be held on September 3rd.

Google has Asus as one of its official Android Wear partners and we expect the watch to be running on their smart watch version of Android. The app store dedicated to these new gadgets is already open and we expect more applications to be loaded into it once the products start hitting the market. At the moment, there is no official information related to the Android wear from Asus. But, given the company’s successful venture in creating two different Nexus tablets for Google, we assume that they wouldn’t disappoint us with their smart watch venture.

Of all the watches revealed so far, what impressed you the most? Would you consider buying an Asus ZenWatch or prefer to go with brands that have a much higher presence in India as Samsung or LG?
