UAE-based Jumbo Electronics, which exclusively distributes YotaPhone in Middle-East, has tied-up with Indian e-retailer Flipkart to launch the dual-display smartphone in India. This phone will be available beginning tomorrow exclusively at Flipkart.com for INR 23,499.

Originally introduced CES 2013, the first-gen YotaPhone first went on sale in late-2013 and has since been reaching new markets. It is known for its dual-display set-up, where a normal 4.3-inch LCD panel graces the front of the phone, while a 4.3-inch e-ink panel is present on the back. According to Yota Devices, which is the company behind this smartphone, the e-ink display is always-on and can be used to show calendar appointments, stocks, weather, social media updates, and notifications as well as to read e-books. The consumers can also use it to simply display an image, motivational quotes or to just mirror something from the LCD display for later-viewing.
